RecurX now offers two plans: Basic ($29/month or $290/year) and Pro ($49/month or $490/year), each with a 14-day free trial for stores that haven't used one. The older Starter, Essential, Growth and Scale plans are no longer offered to new stores.
If you're on Starter, Essential, Growth or Scale
- You keep your plan, its price and its features until you change plan yourself.
- Nothing changes automatically: no new charge, no migration, no features removed.
- On a paid older plan (Essential, Growth or Scale), App settings → Billing & plan shows a note on your Current plan card, for example: "Scale is no longer offered to new stores. You keep its price and features until you change plan." It's for information only — you don't need to do anything.
Should I switch?
Switching is optional. Here's how the plans compare:

Once you switch, you can't move back to your old plan, because it's no longer offered.
Step 1: Pick Basic or Pro
- In your Shopify admin, open Apps → RecurX Subscriptions → App settings → Billing & plan.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly (save 16%) above the plans.
- Click Switch to Basic or Switch to Pro. (From Starter or Essential, the buttons read Upgrade to ….)
Step 2: Approve the plan on Shopify
- A dialog asks you to confirm, for example Change to the Basic plan? Click Continue to Shopify (1), or Go back (2) to keep your current plan.
- On Shopify's plan page, choose the same plan and approve it. Shopify shows the price, whether a free trial applies, your first charge date and any credit before you approve.
When you come back, RecurX shows your new plan as the Current plan.
