Initial install

When you install RecurX, Shopify shows a permission consent screen. Approve to continue.

Why each scope?

  • read_products / write_products — attach selling plans to your products.
  • read_customers / write_customers — manage subscribers and tags.
  • read_orders / write_orders — record subscription orders, retry failed payments.
  • read_themes / write_themes — install the storefront widget into your active theme.
  • read_marketing_events / write_marketing_events — sync campaign sends to Shopify analytics.

Re-authorize after token expiry

If you see "Auth expired" in the Dashboard banner, click Reinstall RecurX. Shopify will re-issue a token without losing any of your data — plans, subscribers, settings all persist by shop ID.

GDPR

RecurX subscribes to all three GDPR webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Customer data is purged within 30 days of redact, audit logs within 90 days.
