Onboarding checklist

The first-run checklist that walks you from install to first paid subscription.

Open Onboarding.

What it covers

The onboarding checklist appears on first install and remains pinned to the Dashboard until you've completed every step. Steps are auto-detected — you don't have to mark anything done manually.

  1. Install widget on theme — opens your theme editor with the App Embed pre-toggled.
  2. Create first plan — links to the plan editor.
  3. Verify sender domain — DKIM + SPF in General Settings.
  4. Connect a notification channel — email or SMS (Twilio).
  5. Run a test subscription — places a $1 order on a test product to confirm the full flow.
  6. Set retention rulesdunning + cancel-flow A/B.

Skipping steps

Each step is optional but the checklist won't auto-dismiss until step 1 (widget install) and step 2 (first plan) are complete — those are required for the app to do anything useful.
