Discount types
1. Per-cycle percent or fixed
Set in the plan editor. Applies every renewal at the same rate.
2. First-cycle bonus
"First box 30% off, then 15%". Best for trial-to-recurring conversion.
3. Cycle-N override
Set tiered discounts: 10% on cycle 1, 15% from cycle 4, 20% from cycle 12. Encourages long retention.
4. Prepaid commitment
3-month / 6-month / 12-month prepaid plans automatically apply a deeper discount in exchange for upfront commitment.
5. Loyalty tier discount
Stacked on top of plan discount when subscriber reaches a loyalty tier.
Stacking rules
- One Shopify discount code can be combined with subscription discounts (configurable per plan).
- Loyalty tier discounts always stack.
- VIP gated pricing replaces (not stacks on) plan discount.
