Open Payment Recovery.

Retry schedule

Default schedule: 3 attempts at 1 / 3 / 7 days. Customizable up to 5 attempts over 14 days.

Each attempt re-charges the saved payment method. If still failing, RecurX sends an "update card" email with a one-click link to the customer portal.

Email cadence

Configure under Email Templates:

  • Day 0 — "Your payment didn't go through"
  • Day 3 — "We tried again — please update your card"
  • Day 7 — "Last chance before we pause your subscription"

Auto-pause vs auto-cancel

Set the policy after final retry:

  • Auto-pause (default) — keeps the contract; resumes on card update.
  • Auto-cancel — closes the contract after final retry.

Recovery rate

The dunning dashboard shows success rate per attempt + total recovered revenue. Most stores see 40–60% recovery on the first retry.
